I received my dental education from Hayward ROP and have been working as a dental assistant for 7 years and as a Registered Dental Assistant for 6 years. I have been working for Dr. Shimane’s office for nearly 9 months now and love working in the field of oral surgery. Before joining Dr. Shimane’s team I traveled for 7 months with a mission’s school by the name of YWAM where we worked with many less fortunate people from several countries within Europe and Asia. I have just received my OMSA (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant) certification and look forward to providing care to our patients in this capacity.
I received my dental education from Western Career College and have been in the dental field for a little over a year now. I have been working with Dr. Shimane for nine months and I’m currently working on receiving my RDA license. I have just successfully passed my examination for obtained for certification in OMSA (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant). I love to work in the field of Oral Surgery and love working in the dental field because it allows me to work with people. Currently, I reside in Newark with my family. I have a wonderful little girl, Annabelle, who is three years old. Working here will allow me to expand my knowledge in the dental field and will ultimately give a better quality of life for my family and I.
I have been working actively in the dental community for about six years now. I started my career with emphases towards beauty and health within the dental field. I earned my cosmetology license first when I was only eighteen years old and later that year I obtained my licensure as a certified dental assistant. My motivation to grow assisted me with more educational goals. I was taught education will give me comfort and stability, so I’m a lifetime student. While attending college and working fulltime, I earned my RDA (registred dental assistant) and OMSA (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant) certification. I am currently working as the Lead assistant at Dr.Shimane’s office and I enjoy working with the team because we are all productive people who admire changing smiles. Family is of upmost importance to me and I have a five year old son who just recently started Kindergarten this fall. I plan on continuing to grow my family and build a better future for us all.
I joined Dr. Shimane’s office as Professional Relations Coordinator in 2010. As the PRC, my primary responsibility is to act as the liaison between our office and our referring Doctor’s offices. I meet with our referring offices on a regular basis as well as organize and execute all marketing related projects and activities. In my role at Dr. Shimane’s office, I draw on my past experience in the field of Sales and Marketing in the healthcare industry. While I am new to the dental industry, I am excited by the opportunity to learn about the dental field and the recent advances in dental care. Dr. Shimane and his staff, as well as our referring offices, have all generously and warmly welcomed me into their practices and I look forward to continuing to build strong and successful relationships.
I am the office Financial (Insurance)coordinator. I was born and raised in Vietnam then moved to Long Beach, California with my family in 1994. I worked in an oral surgery office in Long Beach for 5 years as a surgical assistant. I then relocated to the Bay area and began working with Dr. Shimane in 2000 as a financial (insurance) coordinator. I enjoy working with Dr. Shimane and the staff.
I currently live in Moraga with my husband and 7 year old son. I enjoy reading, going to church, and spending time with family and friends.
Hello my name is Maria Griffey, I am one of Dr. Shimane’s Financial Coordinators. I have been with this lovely practice for seven years now as of 2011. I strive to make sure that our patients know all financial options and choose one most convenient for their individual budgets. I also hold the position of Catalyst Study Club Coordinator. The Catalyst Study Club is a group of doctors who have made a commitment to excellence and continuing education in the dental field. Our study club has world-renown speakers fly in from all over the country to share their knowledge and expertise in the many fields of comprehensive dentistry, practice management, and motivation. I love my job and the Team I work with, as we all continue to strive in providing optimal care to our patients and their families.
Hello thanks for visiting the site, I currently work as the Lead Surgical assistant at Dr. Casey .K Shimane Office. I enjoy training new employees and working towards goals that will benefit the practice as a whole. I also hold the position of inventory coordinator ensuring we have all the materials we need in order to operate efficiently. I’ve been with the practice since 2008 and I’ve learned a lot during my time here as we all focus on continuing education. I have many educational goals and attend college while working fulltime. My overall goal is to obtain professional relationships with colleagues that will help me pursue a comfortable lifestyle. I plan to gain more knowledge and operate my own business one day that focuses on alternative healing in a spa setting. I have only begun to start my family and education is the key to success and fulfillment for me. My son is my motivation and he keeps me striving everyday in order to provide for his future, he is charismatic and very outgoing. Michai is my only child so far and always promises that he would be the best big brother if I gave him a chance!
